Q: What are the special features that set the Surf-fur Waterparka apart from other dive/swim parkas and boat coats?
A: The Waterparka, which has a design that is uniquely ours, is made of specially engineered fabric just for our designs. The cool-looking, reversible, hooded coat is completely wind and waterproof. The garment’s long, generous cut allows people to change in and out of their wetsuits, swimsuit and other apparel comfortably and in privacy. The coat has “Zen” changing pockets which allow the wearer to reach through and pull down suits or pull up pants. The Surf-fur is machine washable, and has stainless steel reversible snaps.Q: How do I figure out my size?
A: Whatever size you normally take in a t-shirt would be your size. All of our products are true to size. This being said, they are meant to be roomy, so if you like your clothe to fit, go down a size and you'll be fine. Detailed description of our fleece fabric….
Our fleece that goes into every Boat Coat, Swim Parka and Dive Parka we make is made exclusively for our use according to our exact specifications. Fleece is a soft, lightweight, warm and comfortable fabric. It is hydrophobic, holding less than 1% of its weight in water, it retains much of its insulating powers even when wet, and it is highly breathable. Made from 100% polyester, which is usually recycled materials, it is one of the most technical fabrics on the market. Surf-fur fleece gives the wearer maximum protection from blustery conditions in a lightweight packable fabric. These fabrics combine the warmth of fleece with a
100% windproof, waterproof, breathable barrier, eliminating the need for a windbreaker or other additional shell. It is a good alternative to wool.More information for the Scientists….
If it is breathable, how is it waterproof? Well, the fabric is actually two layers of fleece bonded together by a membrane called Polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE, which allows a small amount of air through the fabric (15cfm) to substantially improve breathability, without significantly compromising the fabric's warmth, reducing the tendency for heat stress buildup during aerobic activities. A water resistant outer surface and an inner surface treated to wick, provide all-in-one comfort and protection.

HOW TO WEAR
The perfect foundation for cool-to-cold water paddling. 3.0mm pants keep you warm and dry while seated in cold water with continuous one-piece coverage to a 1.0mm vest.
Combine with base layers under the vest for added insulation, and complete the kit with an outer layer for protection from the elements.
We have enjoyed adding the Giant Fish Paddle Wool as an insulating base layer with the Giant Fish Wind Shirt as a flexible shell to protect you from wind and spray.
If you need more immersion and thermal protection, go with the Giant Fish 1mm neoprene Race Top for a magical combination.
